This two-day conference with a one-day preconference offers Iowa leaders a chance to interact with national speakers, as well as network with colleagues from around the state. This year’s theme focuses on 21st century learning environments, opening with a keynote from Michael Horn, co-author of Disrupting Class. New this year is a Tuesday afternoon (Aug. 3) session on the Iowa Core, featured at no additional charge.

Intended outcomes
The goal of this conference continues to be that of linking leadership and learning. Educational leaders will have a chance to consider the most relevant topics in education today while challenging themselves to meet the six standards for Iowa School Leaders.
Evaluation
Conference attendees will be given a survey. SAI governance committees will gather data and make recommendations.
